Experience the wild beauty and diversity of the Dominican Republic’s north coast — a region blessed with magical beaches, hidden lagoons, lush vegetation, and vibrant marine life. This full-day adventure combines relaxation, exploration, and authentic local flavor as we travel along one of the most enchanting stretches of coastline between Cabarete and Cabrera.

 

Itinerary

​Our day begins at a charming ecolodge, where we’ll meet fascinating animals such as iguanas, snakes, turtles, and even crocodiles. During a guided tour through the botanical garden, you’ll learn about the incredible variety of native plants that thrive in this tropical environment and discover their cultural, medicinal, and ecological importance.

We then continue to the mystical Laguna Gri-Gri, a natural lagoon teeming with birds, fish, crabs, and turtles. Aboard a small boat, we glide gently through serene mangrove tunnels, surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. Following the coastline, we explore a hidden sea cave, swim in a crystal-clear natural pool, and relax on a secluded beach before returning through the mangroves to the harbor.

Our next stop is the iconic Playa Grande, famous for its spectacular scenery, soft golden sand, and mouthwatering fresh fish. Here, we enjoy a delicious Dominican lunch, with the option to try the beach’s legendary piña coladas served in whole pineapples.

We then head to the exceptional Laguna Dudú, home to two stunning cenotes, a massive cave, and an exhilarating zipline that launches riders across the lagoon. After enjoying these natural wonders and soaking up the beauty of this one-of-a-kind spot, we begin our journey back home — full of unforgettable memories and a deep appreciation for the north coast’s breathtaking landscapes.
