Courage Travels, S.R.L. (“Courage Travels,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a registered Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada under Dominican law, RNC 1-33-50760-9, operating from: Calle Principal B6-B, La Mulata III, 57000 Sosúa, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy in accordance with Law 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data of the Dominican Republic and international standards inspired by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

b) Information from communication and bookings

• Emails, WhatsApp or phone correspondence related to tour planning and customer support.
   

c) Images and recordings

• Photographs or videos taken during tours or events.
   

  • Guests who do not wish to appear in photos or videos used for marketing must inform Courage Travels before the tour starts.
     

d) Cookies and analytics (when implemented)

• Our website may use cookies or similar technologies (e.g., Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) to understand site usage and improve services.
   

  • Currently, no cookies are active; this section will be updated once they are implemented.
     

 

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your personal data for the following lawful and legitimate purposes:

• Personal data is stored securely in Google Workspace, on our Wix website host, and in limited paper records.
   

• Access to customer data is strictly limited to Courage Travels’ management and, where required, authorized service providers (e.g., local guides, transport companies).
   

• We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
   

• Data is retained for five (5) years after the tour date for accounting, taxation, and legal compliance, unless longer retention is legally required or you request deletion earlier (where possible).
   

 

6. Data Sharing and International Transfers

We only share the minimum necessary information with trusted third parties, such as:

• Local guides or service providers required to deliver the tour.
   

• Payment processors or financial institutions handling transactions.
   

• Professional advisors (accountants, legal consultants) for compliance purposes.
   

Data may be transferred outside the Dominican Republic when stored on Google Drive or similar cloud services. These providers maintain adequate safeguards consistent with international privacy standards.

We never sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties.

With your consent, we may send you newsletters, special offers, or travel updates.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in emails or by contacting us directly.

1. Access – obtain confirmation of whether we hold your data and receive a copy.
    

2. Rectification – request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
    

3. Cancellation/Deletion – ask for your data to be erased when no longer necessary or when consent is withdrawn.

Currently, Courage Travels does not actively use cookies or tracking tools.
If we introduce cookies (e.g., Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel), our website will display a cookie banner explaining the purpose and allowing you to give or refuse consent in line with Dominican and international regulations.
 

10. Photos, Videos and Testimonials

We may take photos or videos during tours for safety records and marketing purposes (e.g., social media, website, brochures).
Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional content must notify Courage Travels before the tour begins.
By notifying us, you ensure your image will not be used in public materials.

Our services are generally suitable for families and children when accompanied by an adult.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18 without parental consent. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.

We use SSL-encrypted web connections, secure Google accounts, and restricted administrative access to minimize risk of unauthorized access or disclosure. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we will promptly notify affected individuals and authorities as required by law.

Our website may contain links to external sites (e.g., partners, booking platforms, or social media).
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies when leaving our page.
