About the place
Río Partido, near Jamao al Norte, is nature at its most breathtaking. Rolling green hills, dotted with elegant royal palm trees, create a landscape that feels both serene and alive. The rivers captivate with their striking aquamarine hues, leaving visitors in awe at every turn. This is the authentic Dominican countryside, untouched, vibrant, and endlessly inspiring, where nature never fails to impress.
Itinerary
Our adventure begins with a scenic drive to the town of Jamao al Norte, where we switch vehicles and hop into a Jeep Wrangler for an unforgettable journey through the lush mountains.
After a 40-minute ride, we arrive at a local restaurant, where we prepare for a 15-minute downhill hike to the river.
Then the real excitement begins! Canyoning along Río Partido, exploring its incredible natural highlights: crystal-clear aquamarine pools, towering rock formations, bubbling rapids, and cascading waterfalls. One of the most magical moments awaits at a hidden gem: a secret cave tucked behind a waterfall.
After making our way back along the river, we begin a 25-minute ascent to the restaurant, where a delicious, traditional Dominican lunch, prepared by a local woman, awaits us.
Following lunch, we once again take in the stunning mountain views from the back of the Jeep as we make our way back to town.
After a day filled with adrenaline and adventure, we return home with unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
