But Jamao isn’t just about tranquility and beauty; it’s also about adventure. The off-road trails of Jamao are unlike any roads you’ve known — rugged, wild, and full of fun. It’s the perfect blend of nature, culture, and excitement.
Itinerary
Our journey begins as we arrive in the charming village of Jamao al Norte. From here, we hop aboard a 4x4 off-road jeep, ready to head deep into nature.
Our first stop is a spectacular viewpoint, where we pause to take in the panoramic scenery and enjoy a refreshing drink. Then, crossing two rivers, we continue to the breathtaking “Ojo de Agua” Waterfall — the “Eye of the Water.” Here, you’ll dive into the crystal-clear pools and feel the invigorating power of nature all around you.
After this unforgettable swim, we’ll visit a local farm to savor a traditional Dominican lunch prepared with love. A little rest and we’re back on the road again, heading to another stunning viewpoint that showcases Jamao’s incredible landscapes.
Finally, we arrive at the eco-lodge “Finca La Contenta”, a peaceful haven surrounded by tropical gardens. Relax by the small infinity pool, enjoy homemade coffee and cake, and admire the beautiful craftsmanship and woodwork of the lodge’s owners.
After soaking in these wonderful impressions, we return to the village and make our way home.
