About the place
Punta Rucia, the charming fishing village where our journey to Paradise Island begins, is a hidden gem on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Its calm, turquoise waters and tranquil atmosphere create a sense of pure serenity and authenticity. The beach looks like it’s been lifted straight from a fairytale, shimmering crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and an untouched coastal charm.
From here, we’ll set sail toward Paradise Island (Cayo Arena) and once we arrive, you’ll understand how it has earned the name "Paradise Island". The brilliant turquoise sea, dazzling sandbank, and vibrant underwater world make it nothing short of heavenly.
Itinerary
Our adventure begins with a scenic drive to Punta Rucia, winding through lush green hills and picturesque farmland. Upon arrival, we board our catamaran, and the excitement begins: feel the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair as we glide across the sparkling Caribbean waters.
Our first stop is at a natural pool, where you can slide directly from the catamaran into crystal-clear water with the catamaran's water slide!
Next, we sail toward the highlight of the day, the breathtaking Paradise Island. Step onto the white sandbank surrounded by vivid turquoise waters, and put on your snorkel and mask to have one of the best snorkeling experiences of the Dominican Republic! Feed the friendly tropical fish and float among clouds of vibrant marine life. Freshly cut tropical fruits are served right on the island, a true taste of paradise.
After soaking up the beauty of Cayo Arena, we continue our catamaran journey through the mangroves of the Monte Cristi National Park. The water deepens into shades of emerald green as we drift through these serene natural tunnels, an awe-inspiring experience surrounded by lush vegetation.
Back on shore, a delicious buffet-style Dominican lunch awaits you. Enjoy traditional flavors, relax, and take in the calm surroundings before we head back home, filled with unforgettable memories of a day in paradise.
